Marred by the inadvertant success of the “about” page, the fellow staff here at salam! studio re approached me to put together some welcoming words for the site’s “welcome” post that you may find yourself browsing somewhat brazenly. At first, I must admit I was caught off guard by their impassioned “insistence”, but as I now look past their brandishing office supplies, microwaveable lunches, coffee filters, several office shivs fashioned out of keyboard spacebars and a couple of kidney shots (to each kidney), I must admit I felt somewhat honored. For you see, while the site’s unprecedented visuals capture the creative tenacity of many of our staff members, said staff felt said visuals required a particular degree of quasiprecedented grandiloquence I alone could feign.

So “Don’t use words!” they would instruct me repeatedly and violently. Though I’m told now their was the adjective ‘big’ somewhere in that instruction, masked perhaps either by the sound of my own fear or by the popped eardrum from the left cross that also caught me off guard, I took these instructions to heart in order to spend a week deliberating and nursing my wounds. A week, that would feel more like a meager seven days would lead me to prepare perhaps the most fitting and finest of all choice welcomes to earn my fellow staff members silent nod of approval and continued beating. Now, with the introduction out of the way and with perhaps a little further ado, salam! studios would like to present you with the only welcome post to not use actual (english) words: salam!
